Actress and writer Natalie Dormer launch a new production company named Dog Rose Production based in London. It will be in partnership with Fremantle. Dog Rose Productions will work on different genres. It is good to know that they want to explore themes “that transcend cultures and unite us as humans.” One of the first projects that these two companies are working on is “Vivling”. It is an event drama based on the life of British actress Vivien Leigh.
Their next project together is “Spitfire Sisters,” an eight-part series recounting the true story of a group of female aviators during World War II.
In “Spitfire Sisters,” the women of the Air Transport Auxiliary have to fly different types of aircraft from airbase to airbase. So that the planes were ready for combat. The mission was a dangerous one. It is told through the eyes of these women. This series deals with various themes such as empowerment, friendships, love, camaraderie, and profound tragedy and loss.
“This is a barely known story, a thrilling story, an important story ready to be told by such a passionate voice as Morgan’s,” said Dormer. She is also an executive producer of this series.
Playwright and screenwriter Malcolm, who will write this show, added that it’s “always exciting to see the representation of marginalized stories on our screens and stages.” And this project will hold so many within it”.
Dormer and Fremantle allied with “The first-look deal,” which took place last year. She worked with Fremantle in the TV adaptation of the “Picnic at Hanging Rock,” which they also distributed globally.
Natalie Dormer gains considerable popularity after her role in Game of Thrones. As of now, in 2019, Dormer worked in a film called The Professor and the Madman and in a couple of television series, which includes Penny Dreadful: City of Angels and The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. With this new production company, we wish her the best as a producer.
