The ‘Young Wolf of Winterfell’ may be long dead now, but his character hasn’t been forgotten. Also, the fantastic way in which the British actor – Richard Madden portrayed the role of Rob Stark in Game of Thrones is highly praiseworthy. Well, according to a report by the Sun, the actor is to be approached for the lead role in the new James Bond movie. Read on.
According to the Sun, Richard is being approached for the role of James Bond and will be replacing Daniel Craig after his last movie in the James Bond series ‘Bond 25’. The young wolf’s performance in the BBC thriller Bodyguard impressed the executive producer Barbara Broccoli and she might seek him out for the role.
A source told the Sun,
“It’s seriously looking like he [Madden] is going to get the job.
“Not only is he on top of Barbara’s list, but she is preparing to offer the role.”
Robb Stark’s gruesome death at the Red Wedding was hard for fans to digest and gave them nightmares for days. It was one of the worst shocking moments of the series besides Ned Stark and Hodor’s death.
Interestingly enough, after Game of Thrones, Richard portrayed Cosimo de’ Medici in the Italian-British TV series ‘Medici: Masters of Florence’ alongside David Bradley (Walder Frey) who played his father-in-law. Apart from these, the actor is also known for his notable performances in Cinderella and Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams.
It will really be interesting to watch how well Richard takes the replacement of Craig in the upcoming James Bond movies. What were thoughts on this update? Tell us in the comments.
