The father of Game Of Thrones star Rose Leslie, Sebastian Leslie, has said he was forced to borrow money from his daughter after he lost the family castle and it was repossessed.

Sebastian had borrowed money from both Rose and her husband, Game Of Thrones co-star, Kit Harington, after he lost the historic Lickleyhead Castle, located in Insch, Aberdeenshire.

‘Rose and Kit helped financially,’ he told The Scottish Sun.

‘I can’t tell you how much they gave me but they were very generous. Asking your daughter for money is a very difficult thing to do.’

Lickleyhead Castle was seized after Sebastian faced court action from a loan company battling to recover debts. It is where his daughter Rose had grown up, before she came to prominence as Ygritte in Game Of Thrones.

However, he then says that he chose to have the castle taken away from him on purpose as he wanted to expose a ‘level of corruption’ within the Bank Of Scotland, claiming he is one of 3000 victims of the bank.

He alleges money was put into his account to derail his election bid as an independent councillor.

‘I had to reveal this level of corruption that exists within the Bank Of Scotland,’ he continued.

‘We needed to fight this and that’s why it went to the wire and why it’s done so much harm to the family.’

A spokeswoman for the bank said: ‘If Mr Leslie has additional information to support his claims, we would ask him to provide documentation which can be investigated.’

Sebastian and his wife Candy were ordered to leave Lickleyhead in August and have since moved to a flat in Edinburgh.

Rose married Kit in Scotland on 23 June 2018, and celebrated their one year anniversary in London this year following Kit’s stint in rehab.
