Game of Thrones may have ended this year. But it is not done with its bang. Two months after the HBO show premiered its series finale, the Emmy nominations were announced. The TV show made the loudest noise on the nomination morning. From Best Drama Series nomination to Emilia Clarke bagging the Best Actress nomination, Game of Thrones got everyone talking. But Jonas family couldn’t stop talking about Sophie Turner. The newlywed actress will remember this summer for not only the show’s end but for also bagging her first Emmy nomination!

The 23-year-old star bagged her first-ever Emmy nominations this year for her Sansa Stark act in Game of Thrones. She has been nominated for the Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Following the announcement, Sophie’s husband Joe Jonas and sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra Jonas couldn’t stop themselves from gushing over the star on social media. Joe took to Instagram Stories to share a picture of Sophie and wrote, “Emmy nominated @SophieT I’m so incredibly proud of you.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas too took to her Instagram Stories and shared a picture with her J-Sister and wrote, “Congratulations to all of the Emmy nominees this year, but especially to… You, @SophieT! We love you & are so incredibly proud of you,” before adding “#JSister”.

Apart from Sophie, Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Alfie Allen, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Gwendoline Christie and guest star Carice van Houten were nominated for Emmys 2019.
