Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner says Sansa Stark transforms into a ‘warrior of Winterfell’ in the final season, even getting her own armour.

Sansa has transformed into a tougher, harder version of her old self given everything she has been through over the seasons.

Her new armour is a way of ‘protecting herself’ against the world, Sophie explained to Entertainment Weekly.

‘She buttons herself up. I wanted her to have a bit of armour and be a bit more warrior like. She’s like the warrior of Winterfell.’

We’re yet to see Sansa’s swanky new armour, but according to EW, it’s ‘more like a jet-black ensemble made of thick leather or similar material’.

Game Of Thrones is a lot better at keeping things under wraps than Sophie herself, who admitted she has given away season eight spoilers to people.

‘I don’t think people tell me things anymore because they know that I can’t keep them,’ she told W Magazine.

‘I’ve already told the ending of Game of Thrones to a few people.’

When asked if she had been drinking when revealing all, Sophie replied: ‘Nope, sober.

‘I was like, “Hey, if you want to know, I’ll tell you.” But it’s people that I know, not random people. It’s people that I know will keep the secret.’

The actress, who is naturally blonde but dyed her hair red for the show, previously revealed she had to stop washing her hair during season five so it had a more authentically gritty look.

She said: ‘Towards season 5 they started asking me to not wash my hair and it was really disgusting. Now I wear a wig so I can wash my hair whenever I want, which is nice. But yes, for a couple of years I was living with pretty greasy hair.’

Game Of Thrones returns 15 April on Sky Atlantic
