THE Stark family in Game of Thrones are usually seen as the heroes but a shock new theory suggests they are secretly White Walkers.

Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, assassin Arya and Bran are all descended from the evil Night King according to a shocking new theory from Alt Shift X.

The theory goes that when the people from the Andals came to invade Westeros, only the North men, led by the Starks could resist them with their belief in the old gods.

And with Winterfell warmed by underground hot springs, which some believe to be dragons-fed, and the kings of the north possessing iron crowns and swords, it all feeds into the theory that the Starks aren’t just human.

Each of the Stark ancestors buried in the crypts beneath the castle are encased with iron swords – something that repels white walkers.

“Winterfell might have magic defences against White Walkers from Bran the Builder,” the theory states.

Bran, an ancient Stark, built the Wall, Winterfell and Storms End and imbued the former with magical protection to hold back to walkers.

Another Bran, Brandon the Breaker, was the man who struck down the Night King and his icy wife thousands of years ago, and the books state his true name was struck from the memories of man.

In the books Old Nan revealed the Night King was actually Brandon’s brother – meaning he was also a Stark and related to the Starks in Westeros today.

“The Starks might still be connected to the White Walkers by their blood,” it adds and then takes it a step-further.

With the Starks having a history of taking in half Stark babies and raising them, the theory states that Brandon would have found one of his brother’s children and taken him home to raise him as his own son – a Stark.

And with the books telling how the Starks are “made of ice” and not like other men meaning the reason Jon Snow has been able to fight the White Walkers because he is part White Walker.

All will be revealed when the new series begins in April on Sky Atlantic.
