Game Of Thrones stars Lena Headey and Maisie Williams enjoyed a fun-filled reunion, as they joined forces to work together on a new music video.
The HBO hit series wrapped up for good in May last year, after eight seasons, with Lena starring as Cersei Lannister in Game Of Thrones and Maisie appearing as Arya Stark.
Clearly having built up a firm friendship on set, it looks like the actresses jumped at the chance to work together again and their latest project is a far cry from the world of King’s Landing and Winterfell.
Lena and Maisie joined forces with French music producer Madeon to work on the the music video for his new track Miracle.
Madeon explained that Lena was first to get on board and directed the video, with Maisie taking a starring role.
The music video dropped on YouTube on Wednesday and giving fans some backstory, Madeon revealed exactly how he managed to enlist the help of both Lena and Maisie.
He wrote: ‘Hi!! Some backstory: a few months ago, while I was on tour, Lena Headey reached out about making a video for Miracle. Maisie Williams quickly joined (they had both met on the set of Game of Thrones).
‘Her vision was so clear, it was very different from the way I’ve illustrated the universe of ‘Good Faith’ up to that point but that’s what made the idea so fascinating, it’s a different interpretation.
‘They focused on the drama of the music and made a beautiful video. I’m very honoured that my music inspired this!’
Maisie has been throwing herself into a number of new projects since saying goodbye to her long-term alter-ego Ayra, with fans set to see her star in new Sky thriller Two Weeks To Live.
She also starred in Marvel movie The New Mutants, released in April and based on the 1980s comic book arc Demon Bear, as Rahne Sinclair.
Maisie’s character is at the centre of a same-sex love story within the film, with the star previously saying of her onscreen romance with co-star Blu Hunt’s Danielle Moonstar: ‘Rahne and Dani have a telepathic connection in the comics, and so we just wanted to extend that in the film and put that within reality.
‘If they really could understand each other on that level, then you’d probably end up falling in love with that person.’
