Game of Thrones is coming to an end, and HBO is bringing people up to speed on the characters’ journeys before the final six episodes begin in April. YouTuber harlequinn 00 has been uploading a series of video interviews with some of the show’s principal players; they look like they were filmed on the set of Game of Thrones season 8. Each of them recap their characters’ long and twisting stories. Let’s watch, starting with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s take on the life and times of Jaime Lannister:
He skipped through Jaime’s season 5 journey to Dorne real quickly, didn’t he?
Next, Lena Headey takes us inside Cersei Lannister’s wild world:
“Strangely, I think [Cersei’s] relationship with Jaime is less complicated than her relationship with Tyrion.” That’s something to mull over.
Jaime and Cersei have experienced some weird stuff, but have either of them ever cut off a dude’s face and worn it as their own? It’s time to hear Arya Stark’s story:
“At the end of season 7, you really see a newfound respect for Sansa in Arya. I kind of wanted to continue that in the new season.” We’ll see, won’t we?
Watching the videos from the younger cast members is emotional. You watch them grow up in the space of a few minutes! Speaking of which, Isaac Hempstead Wright narrates Bran’s story, which is even weirder than Arya’s:
Keeping with the Stark family, let’s dive into Sansa’s Stark’s journey from naive nobleman’s daughter to the Lady of Winterfell:
I wonder if Tyrion will still be “the unexpected Lannister” when he and Sansa inevitably reunite at Winterfell.
Next up, Kit Harington tells us all about Jon Snow’s journey from bastard to Night’s Watchmen to Lord Commander to King in the North to…?
Finally, Emilia Clarke, her hair still very much dyed platinum blonde, narrates the tale of Daenerys Targaryen:
We imagine Peter Dinklage’s take on Tyrion’s journey will be along shortly! How did you guys enjoy these trips down memory lane?
