Game Of Thrones star Isaac Hempstead Wright has revealed his step-dad has been working hard to provide protective equipment for health workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor, who plays Bran Stark on the HBO fantasy series, shared a snap of himself wearing a mask, as well as placing a visor with his name on it over his face.
‘My step-dad’s printing company @speedscreen_ is currently producing and donating PPE for key health workers,’ he wrote.
‘They have reached their target on JustGiving but please keep an eye on the page as they may need more funds to cover materials as more are needed! Link is in bio.’
Fans were quick to praise the star and his family for their work, with one writing: ‘Wow, thank you !!! It is scary to see hospitals struggling to protect their staff! You and your step dad are amazing !’
Another wrote: ‘You GOT that right. God bless you and your dad. Can I give you a design?’ while one more added: ‘For the realm!’
Isaac’s co-star, Kristofer Hivju, who played Tormund Giantsbane on the show, recently revealed that he’s tested positive for the virus.
Sharing a selfie, he wrote: ‘Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Corona virus. My familiy and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes.
‘We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold. [sic].’
Encouraging the public to remain safe and keep practicing good hygiene to help stop the spread of the virus, the 41-year-old continued: ‘There are people at higher risk for who this virus might be a devastating diagnosis, so I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1,5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.’
There are now more than 1.5 million cases of coronavirus worldwide.
More than 337,000 are known to have recovered. Over 89,000 deaths have been linked to Covid-19.
