"ive said the words, damya!"
Stannis who ?
Absolutely awesome, please don’t stop with the videos !!
Stannis the once and never king!
Stannis is a great, complex and tragic character
Rock on, 2 videos in one week!
slow clap Stannis was always a character that made me feel passionately one way or another. I loved him and hated him, and think in a way, he is almost the mirror image of Jaime Lannister. Great video as always. =)
"Very unique". As distinct from mildly unique?
y u do dis?
That was a really awesome video!
This is why I love your channel
Manis the 1 true king… Ours is the fury!
Stannis is one of my favorite characters!
Great video and a long one as well! 16 minutes of entertainment. Even though I already liked your video's in the beginning you are becoming better every video. And you are also on of the few youtubers where you can really hear in your voice that you enjoy telling stories to us, that makes me excited as well.
Great vid! Stannis and Davos might be my favorite characters in the series. I'll never look at a peach the same
I always loved something about Stannis, but I still cannot forgive what he did (or allow to be done) to Shireen. However I do admit this video puts his action in a different perspective. It really makes me remember why I loved him after all. Do you think the show did him injustice as so many seem to think, Kev?
Stannis the Mannis gets such a bad rap in the show, but you did a really good job showing his underlying motivations and mindset. He did love Shireen, I'm glad you covered that. He was totally swept up in Mel's Azor Ahai bs. He fully believed he was the only one who could stop the Night King and when you accept that this was his mentality then you begin to see that he was not a monster. He was very misguided and his whole story is so sad. He was sure Shireen would die either way, but by sacrificing her he was led to believe everyone else would live. He wasn't greedy or malicious like so many other characters. He had a certain nobility, he tried to do what he thought was his duty for the good of the realm and he put that above all else. And in his free time he never shied from delivering lessons in good grammar.
"What is the life of one bastard BOY against that of a kingdom? " everything. "You only have one thing to give"(Qoren halfhand to Jon). "I'd gladly give my life for the watch" said jon. (Qoren) " You'll die, some nameless bastard north of the wall and they'll never know your name or what you did ". Ahh, it's just words BOY…to keep us warm in the night..
Books only.. I do think that Jon will save westeros by sacraficing himself, will become a whitewalker, may even become new nightking. ( Similar to the mance rayder, wildlings plot line). Stannis was not Azhor Ahai, Jon is…I'm wondering how much of what Stannis did will be repeated in Jons story. Could this include a sacrafice from Jons family, or himself even? It gets hazy because somethings from the show haven't happened in the books and vice versa. Jons dream in ADWD when he battles wights using the flaming sword and wears ice armor supports this thought also. I also strongly believe the 7 gods/7 characters will be instrumental in the great battle for the "dawn". Please Discuss, theorize ect. Kev, your videos are perfecion. Always well constructed and thought provoking. Thanks, Love QOT.🌹
I've never read the books. I've only seen the show. And I always thought Stannis was a butt munch because he burnt Shireen. But this video gave me more perspective. And the meaning of the peach was quite mind blowing!
The peach is his daughter Shireen. She has had greyscale, and that could be the very armour required to face off against the army of the dead, because she is a walking dead. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Jon Connington in the books. The stone men with their grey "scale" – dragon scale/armour.
That was a great video, great insight and editing.
Brilliant dissection of a seemingly one-note personality. You illustrated the harmonies. Thanks!
Amazing
God damnit i didn't expect feels
