Hafþór Julius Bjornsson has revealed the incredible results of his weight loss and, for once, it’s his muscles that are popping rather than the heads of beloved Game of Thrones characters.

The actor and bodybuilder, who famously played Gregor ‘The Mountain’ Clegane in the HBO series, has lost seven stone in a bid to get into shape for his upcoming debut boxing match.

It’s safe to say, he’s certifiably ripped with muscles bulging out of every inch of his torso. Oh, and he clearly didn’t forget leg day either.

Hafþór went down from 32st to 24 after embarking on a strict fitness regime.

Sharing a before and after photo on Instagram, the actor said: ‘From 205kg to 155kg. Swipe to see the difference. Filmed a whole day in my life the other day on my YouTube channel. Click the link my bio to check it out and see my new daily diet!’

The former strong man competitor also shared a YouTube video documenting what he eats in a day and his training programme.

His diet includes a smoothie with 150grams of Greek yoghurt, 100g of strawberries or blueberries and 40g of oats. A short while later, he’s spotted eyeing up the tasty desserts in the hotel restaurant while on daddy duties and holding his eight-month-old baby boy, who he welcomed in September.

He then joked with a cheeky wink: ‘Don’t worry guys, of course I can’t eat this. I’m on a diet. It’s not for me, it’s for the wife.’

In the gym, Hafþór’s filmed sparring with a trainer and going hard on a boxing bag.

The 32-year-old said: ‘Every single day we show up to work on my weaknesses, to try to get better each and every day. After today’s session, my legs are very, very tired, I have to admit that.’

Flexing his bulging calf muscle, even he seemed amazed at their size and admitted: ‘They’re nuts, even if I do say so myself. Look at the form!’

Hafþór later enjoyed a meal of 220g of tenderloin beef, 180g of white rice and 100g of greens. Another meal consisted of 220g of chicken and 250g of potatoes, which Hafpor revealed was ‘probably [his] favourite meal of the day’ even though he’s not a huge fan of chicken.

It’s not hard to see how Hafþór maintained his bulkiness as he was later seen chowing down on two more meals.

The actor retired from the World’s Strongest Man competition a year ago after winning for the 10th consecutive year, but is making the foray into boxing.

He starred as one of Game of Thrones’ most unrelenting killers, The Mountain, for four seasons.
