We all know that Game of Thrones is just that… a game for the Iron Throne. But with all the time spent theorizing on who WILL win the Seven Kingdoms, we decided to take a different approach and pose the question: Who is actually FIT to rule the Seven Kingdoms? In this Wisecrack Edition, we focus on the Queen of Dragons herself, Daenerys Targaryen. Through the lens of political philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli, we evaluate Daenerys’s leadership skills utilizing three of his most famous texts: The Prince, Discourses on Livy, and The Art of War. How does the Breaker of Chains stack up? Let’s find out!

Excellent review, veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery impressive.
A fair analysis. Since she won't sit on the Iron Throne, hopefully whoever does rule in the end can take the good that she has accomplished and continue with that. Then forego her other policies of destroying those who disagree with her and not taking culture and local politics into consideration.
Philosophy of The Wire please
Can you do a philosophy of Littlefinger?
There's some omission of key details from the show in this video, and frankly, it's frustrating, and it undermines your arguments. Daenerys did initially refuse to re-open the fighting pits, but eventually she did in fact realize that flexibility was required of her and changed her position. Secondly, you omitted facts surrounding Dany's conquering of Astapor. She did not just simply "yell and burn stuff." Seriously? She was clever, holding back her feelings and not letting loose her temper or letting on that she was fluent in Valyrian. Her strategic abilities and cool head are really what won her Astapor. Please don't oversimplify a complex character in order to make a point.
So essentially, she's a fuckin batshit crazy bitch
soon as you mentioned my man machiavelli i smashed that like button.
Philosophy of Jon Snow should be their next Game of Thrones philosophy vid.
I just want to know where her Silver is (the horse)
GOT Tested Viewers Tolerance for Incest, is it the ingredient for a successful show? If you remove it, will it fail? I wonder!
man, I'm glad you ain't my teacher. yeah, i know what i said
Do a Littlefinger as a tribute
5:45 – Thank you!!! Some one finally calls out her single approach and lack of strategic foresight at many opportunities.
Now Tyrion's lanister
What episode was 3:10
Though the chances of it happening are very slim because we are talking about Game of Thrones here, if Jon and Daenerys were to co-rule then maybe they could even each other out as rulers
Do the philosophy of Tywin Lannister, the Machiavelli of westeros
Any man who must say I am the king is no true king. Seems quite fitting…
Of all the complex characters in this story why would you analize Dany? Lmao
Philosophy behind the Night King?
idk, I would have rated her a bit higher on adaptability. Her ideological determination is both admirable and detrimental, she loses points for that. But she is also very quick to observe her new environments and adapt new strategies for defeating her enemies, quick to notice flaws and opportunities for her to exploit (the books go into greater details on how she conquered the 3 cities).
Id give her a B- or B on virtu.
Daenerys lacks charisma. She is good at conquering because she has 3 dragons, a dothraki army (which she "inherited" from Drogo) and an army of unsullied (which she technically stole). Her methods are restricted to intimidating people or burning everything to the ground if the former doesn't work out. This is why she needs people such as Tyrion Lannister who are capable of finding a solution that doesn't involve burning everything to ashes you don't like.
Please do Jon Snow, Tyrion, Littlefinger and Arya!
