Bran is the NK theory is beyond stupid.
Bran knows everything. When he greensees, he can see the past and future. He didn't need Jon to tell him his plan. Same with the Night King, he can clearly greensee and I don't think he needs a connection to Bran to have known about the dragons. I think he is able to greensee in his territory, The North. So I think he knew once Jon started his trek beyond the wall. One of the big reasons why I think the NK has a connection to the Dragons is a clue from Season 2. In the House of the Undying, the Warlock states that magic returned or was amplified by the birth of the dragons. The dragons may be why the NK has started this conquest in the first place.
Why would they put so much focus on longclaw in that scene then? I just rewatched it on my TV and the contrast between the eye and the rest of the hilt is huge, almost like they wanted you to notice it. I guess we'll find out eventually
