The controversial final season of the decorated TV series Game of Thrones divided the fan base into two. The show’s cast had their own opinions about the 8th season. Some, like Kerry Ingram (Shireen Baratheon) defended it, while others like Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) haven’t even watched it yet.

In an interview with the NME, the 30-year-old actor confessed he is still on season 4. “I’m still halfway through season four,” he said, “I don’t have the right channel and just lost track of it a bit… I was thinking the other day I should probably watch it again because it was really good.”

He added, “I did really enjoy it. Lots of people really like it, except no-one seems to like the last episode or the last season. I haven’t met anyone that likes it so far.”

Thomas further revealed he only discovered his character was going to die in the show when he read the script while travelling to the set. “It would have been fun to come back for one more season, but it was good and my death was cool,” he said.

He recalls his character’s death, “I get stabbed repeatedly and that looks a little bit comical, but then my sister comes over and tries to put me out of my misery and slits my throat and then a girl comes out the middle of nowhere and throws a Molotov cocktail at me and I explode.”

It is still a mystery as to what happened to Jojen’s sister, Meera (Ellie Kendrick). What do you think must have happened to her? Tell us in the comments below!
