Game Of Thrones have a new plan to avoid the dreaded plight of spoilers for next season, by filming multiple endings for the show.

The seventh season saw HBO hit with multiple hacks, resulting in stolen scripts, employee data and episode leaks which plagued the entirety of the run.

Now Game Of Thrones creators are employing some old school counter-spoiler measures, confirming they’ll film multiple endings so not even the cast know how the story will end.

Speaking at Bethlehem’s Moravian College last week (via Morning Call), HBO’s president of programming Casey Bloys, said: ‘I know in Game Of Thrones, the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really knows what happens.

‘You have to do that on a long show. Because when you’re shooting something, people know. So they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that there’s no definitive answer until the end.’

Does this mean multiple endings of different characters on the Iron Throne? It’s surely got to be an ending which is easily filmed in quick, inexpensive bursts.

Other shows like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos all adopted the multiple endings approach with varying results, but maybe we’ll get an ending of our choice when the DVD releases.

It’s currently incredibly vague when the final season of Game Of Thrones will release, with show production apparently calling for the date to be pushed back to 2019.
