GAME Of Thrones star Harry Lloyd looks unrecognisable 11 years on from his character Viserys’ brutal death.
The English star, 38, played the petulant Targaryen prince in the fantasy epic and was the sibling of Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys.
He had the long, flowing platinum locks and pale skin that were synonymous with the Targaryen family and was hellbent on winning back his father’s Seven Kingdoms’ throne after 15 years in exile.
When his little sister accumulated power and influence by marrying Dothraki horselord Khal Drogo, Viserys was outraged.
The Dothraki had no respect for him whatsoever as he was unable to ride a horse and regularly whinged and whined.
Eventually, his abusive behaviour and disrespect towards Daenerys and the Dothraki went too far when he threatened his sister’s unborn child.
Drogo got his revenge by melting down Viserys’s own gold and pouring it over him in a grisly scene.
Since the starring in GoT, Harry has appeared as a regular in some of the nation’s favourite dramas such as Marcella, Wolf Hall and Counterpart.
His long blonde hair was ditched immediately, with the actor favouring his real brown colouring and a smarter cropped style.
Reflecting on his time on Game of Thrones in an 2020 interview with Brief Take, he said: “For better or worse, I took six months off my life to shoot 15 scenes and I wouldn’t have it any other way. And it was a strange and wonderful summer. I did the most extraordinary thing.
“Then I watched it back and I’m super proud of it. The fact that it’s a worldwide phenomenon is great but it’s kind of secondary to me to the power that it gave me, the confidence, because I saw how it could be done and you want to work on something like that again.”
The Targaryens, who are at the heart of the new Game of Thrones prequel, are a dragonlord family with the sigil of a three-headed dragon breathing flames.
The dynasty interbred to keep their bloodline pure and make their powers more potent.
