Speaking of the Red Wedding scene, David said: “When the Red Wedding landed in my letterbox I thought oh this is going to be a little bit different!
“Even when we filmed it I thought this is going to stir up a few a few feelings, because I’m getting rid of a lot of favourite characters, but nothing prepared me for the reaction after it came out.”
Praising the director he said: “He made it look great and all I had to do was remember a four page speech, which I had to do 70 times in one day,
introducing everyone and welcoming everyone with bread and salt.”
