There’s a lot of romantic moments on Game Of Thrones but Kit Harington had to ruin one by gagging after a snogging session for the cameras with Emilia Clarke.
In the scene, fresh from a dragon ride, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia) and Jon Snow (Kit) stand by a romantic waterfall and talk about their future.
Jon then pulls Dany in for a passionate kiss as they stand among the snow.
(They still don’t know they’re cousins yet so while it might be a bit icky for us it was a sweet moment for them.)
However, for Kit it was still pretty gross, and in a behind-the-scenes video (around the 13.50 mark), after the director yelled cut, he was spotted gagging and covering his mouth.
Way to kill the mushy, lovey-dovey mood there dude.
In the same video, how the scene came to be was played out – with set designers, cinematographers and a bunch of crew members dealing with harsh weather in Iceland in order to make it perfect.
It was revealed that with the exception of the waterfall, which was later CGIed in, it was all real – and that beautiful landscape actually exists.
Speaking to the camera, it’s clear actor Kit has a lot of love for the country, which has been home to Winterfell and the bulk of his scenes during his time on the show.
‘I just loved that I could go there with Emilia,’ he said. ‘I got to show this thing that’s been such a large part of the Thrones for me. I got to show her Iceland.’
It doesn’t seem that Emilia was as taken with the weather though, and she joked: ‘This fire lady, dragon mama is not so used to the cold!’
We can’t say we blame you there, Emilia!
Unfortunately for Dany and Jon though, their love session is unceremoniously coming to a close after Samwell Tarly revealed to his best mate that he’s accidentally been sleeping with his aunt.
Jon, aka Aegon Targaryen, actually now has a viable position for the throne, and while he doesn’t seem keen to betray his Queen, will he?
Game Of Thrones continues Sundays on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
