Goal: To have Amber Plaster and Zach Wilson discuss the possibility that Ser Davos’ character in GoT was written to represent a service that GRRM uses or has interest in – Tor.
Logline: Is Ser Davos a proper metaphor for Tor?
Can we replace the name “Ser Davos” with Tor and have it work?
What other characters represent something modern to you?

You got nothin, yet you keep on talkin.
No
For the love of gods… Never attempt to discuss Linux ever again. It became increasingly painful to hear conflicting statements and clearly incorrect info being blurted out. There's enough disinformation online. Please try not to contribute to it. Thrones, yes. Linux, NO.
FYI, TOR is for secure communication, not a browser and not an OS.
You TOR / Davos comparison was boring … Amber pick better analogies 🙄
This is so far out , that it's gathering precipitation.
I'm pretty sure it's "Ser Davos," not "Sir Davos." Right?
Talk about having nothing else to think about and major overthinking with no explanation of WTF thinking .
"Linux, a super-old operating system, which i know nothing about…" Obviously 🙂 Any why is she saying "word processor" like she's talking about a cuneiform tablet"
Gr8 podcast, very interesting information insight to what phases with true reality in life… One thing though, is Tor easy to access online or something? And does it truly help protect against digital stalking and hacking of mobile devices?
Great show
Dear lord. Clash of Kings, the book that introduces Davos, was published in 1998. The TOR network started in 2002. (I know she says mid-90s but she has no idea what she's talking about. GRRM does not use Linux and Linux is not older than other OSes) Are we really supposed to take this seriously? Or is this some kind of joke?
15 minutes in, and I get it, but are we really afterbuzzing for this?
