Starting Valentine’s Day, subscribers will be able to access HBO content on the existing Toggle app for as little as S$10 a month.
Imagine watching the latest season of Game Of Thrones on the go when it premieres in April. That’s what you can catch – along with other HBO shows such as Westworld – on the Toggle app.
It’s all thanks to the collaboration between Mediacorp and HBO Asia to bring content from HBO GO to Toggle subscribers starting Feb 14.
Toggle subscribers can access HBO GO for a monthly fee of S$13.98. Subscribers who choose the 12-month Special annual plan will only pay S$10 per month.
HBO GO content will be fully accessible within the Toggle app, available on mobile, and on Smart TVs and Apple TV. Each HBO GO subscription on Toggle allows for two concurrent streams.
Subscribers can also switch from movies such as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Ready Player One to free-to-air Mediacorp productions.
WHAT’S IN STORE?
Launched in 2010, HBO GO offers access to its six live channels: HBO, HBO Hits, HBO Family, HBO Signature, Cinemax and Red By HBO. In addition, subscribers have access to full seasons of HBO Original content, such as True Detective, The Sopranos and Westworld.
Subscribers can also watch new HBO Original episodes same time as the US on live TV or on-demand.
Jonathan Spink, CEO, HBO Asia said: “More subscribers in Singapore will now have easy access to stream HBO Asia’s network of six channels and watch Hollywood and Asian movies, as well as award-winning HBO Original content from US and Asia,” said Mr Spink.
Tham Loke Kheng, CEO of Mediacorp said the new service caters to Singaporeans’ multi-screen consumption habits. “HBO GO is fully accessible within the Toggle app. This allows for easy navigation in a friendly environment that Toggle users are already familiar with,” she said.
