Game of Thrones is an epic fantasy drama series that not only portrays a fantastic medieval history but also tempts us to watch every episode again and again. Isn’t this the reason why it is the highest rated and the most binge-watched TV series? Well, what’s most exciting here is that this year Game of Thrones has rocked at the Creative Arts Emmys! Game of Thrones had been nominated in 22 special categories for the 2018 Emmys and we hoped for the best. Well, the Creative Arts Emmys gave away the awards on September 8 at theMicrosoft Theater in Los Angeles. Hold your heads high as Game of Thrones Season 7 won the awards in seven different categories which included:
- Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score) to Ramin Djawadi for his fantastic music composition in the episode “The Dragon and the Wolf”.
- Outstanding Production Design For a Narrative Period or Fantasy Program (One Hour or More) for the pilot episode of the season – “Dragonstone”.
- Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes: for Daenerys Targaryen’s white winter costume in the episode “Beyond the Wall.”
- Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for Series/Limited/Movie/Special: for the episode “The Dragon and the Wolf”.
- Outstanding Special Visual Effects: for the episode “Beyond the Wall”.
- Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour): again, for the episode “Beyond the Wall.”
- Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie: to the stunt coordinator Rowley Irlam for his awesome contribution to the show’s stunts.
However, the list for awards doesn’t ends here. Emmys will soon be back with rest of the awards to be hopefully given away to the rest of the crew on September 17th. Let’s hope that our favourite TV series performs well there too!
