Lena Headey revealed a midwife couldn’t resist a joke as she gave birth (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones’s Lena Headey has put up with some bizarre fan encounters during her time as evil queen of Westeros, Cersei Lannister.

But this story might just take the cake, if we’re honest.

The British actress joined the rest of her cast mates for a one-off retrospective marking the end of the fantasy’s series’ eight-season run.

Led by host Conan O’Brien, Lena revealed that she was recognised all the time thanks to the show – but having a midwife ‘shame’ her after giving birth might have just been the weirdest.

She told Conan and the studio audience: ‘When I had my daughter I was in hospital and she had jaundice, so we had to put her in this bed.

‘When you have your baby it takes a while for your milk to come into your boobs and they were helping me get the milk, and the nurse said, “No, no I’ll help you.”’

‘She’d been really nice to me for days and I thought it was a bit weird,’ Lena continued. ‘She kept going, “Can I get you anything?” And I said, “No, that’s ok.” And as she was doing this she went, “shame”.’

‘And she went, “I’m so sorry I couldn’t help myself.” I was just naked!’

Seriously. Awkward.

The HBO Retrospective sees the leading players of the show reunite one last time to discuss the series and what it has meant to them.

Available on the box set of the show, expect a hell of a lot of tears as they remember the past decade of their lives creating the much-loved series.

Also some of the weirder moments on set – which includes the moment Jason Momoa wore a pink fluffy sock over his willy to protect his modesty in sex scenes with Emilia Clarke.

Game Of Thrones: The Complete Collection is available now on Sky On Demand and DVD.
