In this video I wanted to discuss the importance of Gendry’s character in the final season. This character has survived so much and even after disappearing for multiple seasons he is back in the main plot once again. He was also spotted in Belfast this week as Game of Thrones Season 8 filming is underway so it’s obvious Gendry still has a role to play in the final 6 episodes. The only question is what will he be doing? There are a few different ideas I have. The main one is obviously his skills as a blacksmith being put to use. The North needs weapons to fight The Others and now that they have unlimited Dragonglass Gendry is the perfect man to make those weapons. But he may also know how to reforge Valyrian Steel. His mentor Tobho Mott knew how to do this so I believe Gendry may have learned this unique skill from him. There is also a chance Samwell Tarly discovers the method to making Valyrian Steel. Before Sam left The Citadel he took several books and documents that may hold the secret. Gendry may also be used for a marriage alliance or the bringing of two houses together. Most importantly The Stark and Baratheon Houses. Gendry and Sansa would be a good match but Gendry and Arya already have a very strong relationship. Either way Gendry still has a role to play. He is the last living character with Baratheon blood and by the end of this series I believe Gendry will be legitimized. Let me know what you think. Do you believe Gendry has a role to play? Wasn't arya stabbed by one of the faceless men in the stomach? I don't think she will ne able to have any children. I think she will travel and complete her training .
As much as I love Gendry's character, legitimizing him would be the WORST thing Daenerys or Jon Snow could do, so long as one of them takes the Iron Throne in the end. Just as Aegon the Conqueror did 300 years back, Robert Baratheon took the Iron Throne by conquest. To some, his line is the legitimate line and there will be pretenders and uprisings for centuries if he is legitimized. Gendry himself is likely to be the most vocal supporter of the Jon and/or Daenerys, but that won't matter. People will use him to knock the Targaryens back off the throne if he becomes Lord Baratheon of Storms End.

He would be perfect as King Of The Seven Kingdoms: high born, low upbringing, artisan, may be decisive for the war against the Nightking – that sounds much like GRRMs thinking.
My theory-Gendry is the son of Robert Baratheon and Cersi that supposedly died -Not a bastard. She didn't want him to inherit the throne so faked his death. In an earlier season he said he remembered his mother "visiting" him. She had long blonde hair and smelled good. She wanted a Lannister to have the throne and probably quit visiting when Joffery was born. She was somewhat shaken when Joffery ordered all the bastards executed. Maybe in that dark heart she still had a place for him.
He may end up on the Iron throne with Aria at his side.

I think someone will reveal Gendry's mother was Cersi and that he is the only true heir Robert ever had. Instead of the babe dying as a child she gave him to be raised by the blacksmith so none of Robert's children would sit on the throne. That is how much she hated him. Maybe he will marry Aria. I hope so.
I would hate to see Arya compromise her independence to become a wife to Gendry or anyone; she's just such a badass, and that's what we love most about her. Instead I would love to see Gendry and Sansa marry. I think that would prove to be a love-match, and it would be lovely to see Sansa finally happy.

Valyrian steel, requires a soul or sacrifice, something tells me that it requires more than simply Dragon fire. I am going to have to point out that valyrian steel died with valyria, not with Dragons.
Gendry is going to make especially pointy Valyrian steel swords.
I believe Arya and Gendry will marry. Arya is a warrior and Gendry is a blacksmith, there's a synergy as he could supply arms for her in theory. But they have been friends a long time and I think they will end up together, perhaps even ruling as true warrior Monarchs.

No one knows how the show can end.There is a big possiblity that Mr Martin and the showmakers try to surprise the audience.
This would support the idea that there will be new series for Game of thrones even some movies and more in the future.
Check the big number of fans from allaround the world;how they react to anytihng about it…And to every single character at the story.
The strong side of Game of thrones is the details and and the actors at the show.(Meanwhile I riot against the awfully wrong details about Essos and impossibly skipped and sketchy figures of the cultures there…at least how the show reflects them)
Game of thrones seems to catch bigger audience ,globally, compared to infamous Startrek,Starwars even The walking dead…No offense to anyone.
Since the series of books has not yet completed; I assume that we re going to get a blurry end to the show ,at least.
My personal opinion about the characters is Daenerys and Jon will die,serving for a better end and the defeat of Whitewalkers.Their death will help Gendry to forge Valeryian stell somehow.

Arya may be the leading figure.Together with Gendry (?) Hound and Brienne will die defending Aria (?).
Cersei or Aria may kill Daenerys.Jon could kill Cersei.Mountain could kill Jon.Hound and Mountain could kill eachother ,Hound throwing himself and brother to fires.
Priestesses of light would be happy with the sacrifice.Night King would kill the priestesses while he also dies backstabbed by Aria disguised as a whitewalker (?!)
The whow may even and with a scene Qyburn fleeing everytihng with a ship loaded with crates containing a whitewalker(s) to Ashai (?!)
Mad possiblites to set a surprise end for the audience and to ensure the story will never end.
Gendry is going to forge Valyrian steel spears for Jon and Dany. The Night King will first kill Drogon and Rhaegon in combat and then blast Jon and Dany with blue flame from Viserion. But Jon and Dany are both "unburnt" and emerge from the flames with Gendry's Valyrian spears (to the great surprise of the Night King) and launch them to kill Viserion (Dany's spear) and the Night King (Jon's spear). The white walkers and the wights will all die with the Night King and they will all be burned in a HUGE bonfire. Dany will lose her three dragons but she and Jon will have children. This will be the "bittersweet" ending until their kids grow up and find more dragon eggs on Dragonstone. That will be the last scene.

What about Gendry's mother? Remember in season 1 after Cersei spoke about the black-haired beauty, the next scene was a blacksmith. Does it mean anything?
Gendry will help the living in Westrose survive and he will marry Sansa, fulfilling King Roberts wish. Arya is a fighter and killer not a wife or queen and probably not survive.
Gendry's actually one of my favourite characters, and I've theorized about his future many times with my friends. I think that, by the end of season eight, in the very last episode, if Dany and Jon will be dead and one of them legitimize him before they die, he might actually sit on the Iron Throne, and here's why: if Jon and Dany were to die, the only one who can step on the Throne, might be Tyrion, being him the last Lannister who might take power, for a bit. But we all know that Tyrion doesn't want to rule, just like Arya doesn't want to be a "lady". That's why I think there might be a little flash forward in the last episode, where we might see the coronation of Gendry, with Tyrion as his adviser (yes, I'm assuming that Tyrion might survive the whole series and I really hope he does) and maybe marrying Sansa. So, this is why I think Gendry was brought back in season seven, he's just much more important than we all realize. And in the end, it may be a "bittersweet ending", just like GRRM wanted, because all the other great characters will be dead and the Baratheons might get on the Throne once again. But this might just be me stretching it 🙂
