Why are everybody saing they want Joffrey dead. Without him it would be boring, admitt it you al love when Tyrion slaps him and when he is being so evil. And watching him sit on the throne killing and punishing people. In a way its so entartaining. (sorry for my english)

Too many people complain about characters dying but it gives the story a sense of consequence, realism, of unpredictably that many modern storys lack

just like he said, the story demands it
it's literature
it does not heed to the wishes of readers, or even the writer
it must be as close to reality even if it is just fantasy fiction
there are more fucked up things when you read the books but these bad things make the story more interesting
if you love them stop killing them

I really hate George R. R. Martin but I really admire his wit. He is an absolute genius.
well tyrion is my favourite character also, so i hope he will survive in he end, however martin can go completely crazy on last pages of series lol.

I really don't believe George could bring himself to kill Tyrion because George RR "IS" Tyrion. It would be too much like killing his imaginary "self." When you hear George's comments, his wit & humor, you hear Tyrion Lannister. Nope, Tyrion will be there til the end. 🙂

I had to laugh when I read your comment as I'm sure 99.5% of us Fans feel the exact same way lol … but, ya never know. I can kinda see George RR heading in that direction before the Books/Series final ending. After all, as much as we all like Tyrion, he's also a bad, bad, boy! 🙂 When George RR killed Robb 16 years ago, it almost made me stop reading the book period .. I was so upset with him! It took me some days before I would continue reading! LOL
