Game of Thrones writer George R. R. Martin is one of the most accomplished novelists today, with several best-selling books under his belt. The veteran author is already associated with a bunch of new shows, including Game of Thrones prequels House of The Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. However, there are also a bunch of other non-Westerosi projects that the author wants to see get adapted on-screen.

George R.R. Martin wants Fevre Dream to be adapted for screen

George R.R. Martin might be at odds with HBO now for ruining the second season of House of the Dragon, but he still wants his books to be adapted someday. One of the books he mentioned to Winter is Coming is his vampire novel Fevre Dream. He said:

“Fevre Dream. I love Fevre Dream, and I’ve had numerous meetings. I’ve written a screenplay for Fevre Dream, we did develop it at one point. They didn’t make the screenplay of course, but the rights reverted to me, so I own it. I’ve had meetings with Guillermo Del Toro about Fevre Dream.

He loves it, he says wants to do it…he said he wants to do it, but he doesn’t want to do it now, he always has this project first and that project first, and then this other project. But eventually he’ll do Fevre Dream, if he lives that long and I live that long and movies live that long, I don’t know.”

George R.R. Martin wants Ron Perlman to star in Fevre Dream

Fevre Dream is one of his favorite projects, and he has long been thinking about adapting it. He has even picked his favorite actor to star in the project. Martin said,

“But eventually we would do that and I think Fevre Dream would be great. We wanna star Ron Perlman, we’ve even cast it! My friend Ron Perlman as [steamboat captain] Abner Marsh. Ron wants to do it. Everybody wants to do it, all we need is $100 million. Do you have $100 million?
