Even if you are not an ardent fan of Game of Thrones, you are sure to have heard about it. A serial which has been a phenomenal hit among the viewers and fans. It had everyone talking about it, be it related to the story that was unfolding, or analysis of the next upcoming season or even the conclusion in its finale season. The final season faced criticism like none other. People were not very pleased and it gathered an array of reactions.

It might not be pleasing to the audience, but the author, George RR Martin is more than happy at the culmination of the HBO serial. He stated in an interview that now that the serial has ended he can comfortably finish his remaining of the two novels which are to follow.

His fictional novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire, has the first 5 novels picturized as the hit television series, The Game of the Thrones. Since the demand for each season was so demanding, there was immense pressure on him to complete his novel each time so that the conclusive season could be shot as the next season. This immense pressure was affecting the writing quality and was making the author unable to deliver his best writing, Martin stated.
