While Robert’s Rebellion was built on a lie as told by Bran Stark in Game of Thrones Season Seven, but this news isn’t! It is officially happening at the 2018 Winterfell Festival to be held on September 16 at Castle Ward in Northern Ireland. And, it will be hosted by Mark Addy who played Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones. Read on.

The National Trust, which organizes this event every year, has announced this on its official site. Mark will appear as a special guest at the event and will host a Q&A session with the fans. The official announcement said:

“King Robert, played by Mark who has a central role in series one, will be making a special guest appearance at Castle Ward for Winterfell Festival.

Mark, an award-winning actor and BAFTA nominee will host two intimate Q&A sessions at the Winterfell Festival where an audience of fans will have the opportunity to ask questions and get an insight on what it is like to be part of one of the biggest televisions shows in the world.”

So, “Come, bow before your king” at the Winterfell Festival. The other details of the festival in the announcement include:

  • Visitors will get to see a Winterfell where tensions are high as tales of ancient peoples, once thought extinct, who can kill with a mere touch of their flesh, rattle the residents.

  • A walkthrough at the courtyard where Jon Snow taught archery to Bran and the clock tower – the spot where Bran Stark was pushed from the window by Jamie Lannister.
  • Head to Audley’s Castle by crossing the path of the White Walkers.
  • Experience the sights, sounds, and smells of a medieval village and watch skilled blacksmiths, silversmiths, weavers and armorers at work.
