Grime star Giggs brought down the house twice in one day, first at Reading Festival when he brought out Drake on stage, before turning up at the BBK Takeover at London’s 02 Arena.

But while those were certainly top moments, it was actually meeting Game of Thrones actor John Bradley-West, who plays Samwell Tarley, that he was boasting about.

‘I think it’s safe to to say I’m mandem now. Just need to meet couple dragons and I’m Certy (sic),’ he captioned the photo with a few smiley faces.

Giggs welcomed superstar Drake on to the stage at Reading Festival on Sunday evening, sending the crowd in to a frenzy and leaving those not there wising they were.

‘Reading is the only festival that would book me,’ began Giggs, who added: ‘They’ve always shown mad love so I want to bring one of my friends out, he’s travelled a long way, so let’s give him a warm welcome.’

And then out jumped Drake like a mad man before they launched into Drizzy’s hit single KMT.

His reference to Reading being the only ‘festival that would book me’ comes from his long history of issues with performances, as police regularly shut down his events before they can even begin, blaming their decisions on his previous criminal record.

Giggs grew up in deprived Peckham and was involved in gangs and drugs in his teens and early 20s and after coming out of prison in 2003 – he was sentenced for firearms offences – he resolved to change his life around and focus on his music.

In 2016, he released his fourth album Landlord which peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart, his highest-charting album and an example of the success he has had in turning around his fortunes.

Drake has long had an obsession with London urban culture and is good friends with Skepta; the two made a surprise appearance with the Section Boyz in 2016 at a show in which punters were able to buy tickets for £10.

The performance at this year’s festival will arguably become of the most talked-about though, as the two managed to keep the set a complete secret.
