The Targaryen civil war officially began in the second season of House of the Dragon. While fans are already looking forward to the third installment of the Game of Thrones prequel, a number of characters were missed in Season 2. One of the most talked about characters whose fate remained unknown in Season 2 was Graham McTavish‘s Ser Harrold Westerling.
Quick points:
- McTavish is keeping an eye on House of the Dragon Season 3.
- McTavish was previously spotted on the set of Season 2.
Graham McTavish hints at his return to House of the Dragon
Ser Harrold Westerling was the Lord Commander of Kingsguard in Season 1 of House of the Dragon under King Viserys’ reign. After Viserys’ death, he witnessed the Greens’ treachery and resigned from his position, and has not been seen on the show ever since. However, despite being absent from Season 2, it seems like McTavish is keeping close tabs on the production of the show’s third season. He had also teased Westerling’s return in interviews before.
In a recent interview with The Nerd Shepherd at Heroes Dutch Comic Con, he said, “I believe season three will start filming in March next year.” Hence, there is a possibility that he is still involved in the filming of Season 3.
Graham McTavish was spotted on the set of House of the Dragon Season 2
Earlier in May this year, a source reported to us that Paddy Considine and Graham McTavish were preset on the set of House of the Dragon Season 2. While Considine made a return as King Viserys in Daemon’s Harrenhal dreams, we didn’t see McTavish. It is possible that his clip was cut off, or they might be saving his scenes for Season 3.
