Gwendoline Christie has long portrayed the role of Brienne of Tarth in Game of Thrones where her character is a symbol of women empowerment and fighting all the odds of the society. She has done a fantastic job bringing the character to life for the last six seasons.
With the final season confirmed to be released in April 2019, we expect more from her especially to see her shattering at least one of the White Walkers with her sword Oathkeeper. But, like the other cast members, she still isn’t ready to spill the beans for the final season.
Gwendoline recently appeared in an interview with the E! News where she talked about the final season of Game of Thrones. Without stepping much into the spoiler territory, she revealed:
“You’re going to need therapy. I think just the show ending is going to send all of the worlds into professional help.”
And, what’s Gwen planning to do after Game of Thrones ends for good? She said she is planning to rewatch the whole series which she thinks most of the fans might be doing throughout the Long Night of four months. However, she did say that this idea would ultimately make her emotional like the other cast members.
“I think it’s going to make me incredibly emotional. We’re all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it’s been a truly incredible thing to be a part of.”
But, this little detail isn’t enough for the Game of Thrones fans as they want more updates from the new season. We have many predictions about the final season and expect Brienne to survive the events of the Great War and eventually fulfil her purpose of being a Knight of the king/Queen’s Guard. Otherwise, Tormund wouldn’t be happy!
