Game of Thrones fan convention Con of Thrones was held a few days ago, and the cast interviews are slowly rolling out. One of the interviews was from Game of Thrones fansite Winter is Coming, and it has Hannah Murray, who played the role of Gilly, discuss her character’s Season 8 prospects. Read on!

The interview is a video interview, so you can watch it in full, down below:

Now, we know Murray hasn’t had many scenes with actors other than John Bradley, who plays the role of Samwell Tarly. She was asked about who else she enjoys filming with, and she ended up giving us a bit of a teaser with the answer:

“There are a few from season 8 that I can’t actually mention.”

Murray then discussed how Gilly had changed over the years:

“I think she’s become a lot softer and a lot warmer. I made a very conscious decision in the earlier seasons not to smile, because there was nothing for her to smile about, basically, and I felt like it was almost like a facial expression she wouldn’t have learned yet, and it’s been really nice subtly finding places to bring that in…That discovery of joy has been the biggest and most interesting arc for that character.”

She also spoke about the scene where Gilly found out about Jon Snow‘s real parentage:

“I didn’t ever feel like I got to be expositional. I never thought I would be involved in the game of thrones, as it were. So to get to drop this big information bomb, and to do it in such a kind of throwaway way, was very very cool. It was like an honor.”

So, what do you guys think will happen to Gilly in the next season? Got any theories? Hit us up in the comments, down below!
