Game of Thrones had a number of memorable characters, and some of them, though appeared for a short time on-screen, left an everlasting impression on the audience’s mind. The recently Emmy-nominated actress Hannah Waddingham played the famous ‘Shame’ nun in Cersei’s walk of atonement on the show, and she loved every second of it.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Waddingham said most people don’t recognize her from the role.

That was my finest, prettiest hour,” the actress joked. “I mean, they are right, left and centre now, and thankfully, everyone’s shocked,” she added of the audience. “So that’s good.”

Waddingham’s costume, which resembled a nun’s costume, obscured most of her body except for her face.

I loved it, because it meant I could just sit sleeping in the trailer for hours on end, look like I’d been dug up, and they’d say, ‘Yeah, that looks great,’” she said.

Waddingham said she and Headey developed a friendship on set, despite their characters hating one another.

We met on [set] and just fell in love with each other immediately,” Waddingham said. “I just think sometimes you meet what we call in England, birds … and you’re just like, yeah, you’re a bird, I’m a bird, that’s it, we’re in.”
