Can The Blacks be considered The Good guys?

While they’re not without their flaws, Jace – a sixteen-year-old with a penchant for politics and a relatively peaceful nature, is a notable example. Although he may fantasize about violence, Jace is not one to actively seek it out. His mother’s fears about losing another son are heart-wrenchingly relatable, and it’s only natural that she’d want to shield him from the harsh realities of war at such a tender age. Harry Collett mentions in an interview with Esquire,
“I mean, we’ve all done bad things, haven’t we? But Jace is in the clear at the moment. He is quite a harmless character. He’s political. He’s not very violent, as much as he wants to be. Jace is sixteen, and he shouldn’t be on the battlefield at sixteen. His mother doesn’t want to lose another son, which is fair enough.”

Interpretations of Team Black
The truth about Team Black’s actions is that they exist in a murky grey area where right and wrong are open to interpretation. Harry Collett mentions everyone has done bad things and Team Black is no exception. There are moments that can be seen from multiple perspectives, raising important questions about the team’s moral compass. Are they truly the heroes they think they are, or are their actions tainted by self-interest.
“But for Jace and Team Black, we are the good guys, but we’ve all done bad things. I mean, look what happened with the child in episode 1. As much as that wasn’t deliberate, it can be seen either way.”
