Harry Collett reminisces about his audition, recalling how he received mysterious lines with no role description. He immersed himself in the character, a protective older brother, and performed with passion. But when the studio reveal came that it was for House of the Dragon, Harry Collett’s excitement was tempered by intimidation. The show’s enormity and the book’s devoted fan base made him question his abilities, leaving him wondering if he was ready for such a significant part. “At the audition, they gave me lines without telling me what role it was and I prepared by reading my part, a character who was taking care of his little brother, and at the time of the audition, I recited it with a lot of passion. Then they called me into the studio to tell me it was going to be for House of the Dragon and I immediately thought it was out of my league.”

“I was scared of the hype that revolved around the genre and the books, but I got the call and even now I can’t believe I got the role. I haven’t read all the books, but I had to do a lot of research and read the synopses. Naturally, fans of the saga have their own highly subjective idea of the character, and you can’t get everyone to agree. However, I hope I managed to satisfy even the most demanding fans.”
