Fandom knows no bounds. Besides the regular people, celebrities too, are in awe of other celebrities. And they show no restraint in expressing their love for their favorites. The hugely popular cast of Game of Thrones has earned fans across the world. But when these cast members go gaga over their idols, it catches everyone’s frenzy. A similar incident happened when the Queen of Pop, Madonna sat beside Brienne the Beauty, Gwendoline Christie in the middle of the former’s concert at The London Palladium. What ensued after that is a duel of hearts for sure!
Madonna shared a video on her Instagram that informed us of their sassy chat. It’s titled ‘Madame X plays a Game of Thrones with one of her favorite knights.’ Here’s what happened:
As she approached Gwendoline, Madonna asked if she could sit next to her, and the actress welcomed the icon with warmth. The fun began as Maddona settled down and started talking. It seemed like a lovely Q&A between the two where they exchanged jokes with an air of intimacy. She started off with, “We have got to stop meeting like this…in public places;” and Gwendoline was joined in by the audience in her giggly fun. Upon asking if she could call her Gwendoline, the Game of Thrones star responded, “Please do Madonna!… I love you,” followed by a cheer that got everyone roaring around.
In a short while, Maddona asked, “Do you come to the theater often…by yourself?” Christie was deft in her response, “I love to do it alone.” Maddona agreed, “Yeah, it has its perks. You get exactly what you want.” Christie quickly came back, “Yeah, and if you want something done well, you have to do it yourself.”
All throughout, both the artists were absolutely forthright in showing their appreciation for each other. When the singer-songwriter asked the actress if she was enjoying the show, Christie said, “You are so phenomenal tonight!” Madonna kept poking fun at the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, “Since the last time I’ve seen you, how many people have you killed?” Christie answered, “I think it was maybe only, on the screen, a few thousand, and in person, just a few.” To that Madonna echoed, “Same!”
At one point, both hugged each other with love. And after that held each other’s hand as if they were long-lost friends. When the pop-star asked the English actress, “Where’s your drink?”, she picked up a beer bottle from under her seat and offered it to Madonna. “Anything you want. Is this ok? Do you like beer?” asked Gwendoline. In response, Madonna took a sip and gargled, spilling a bit on her face, before properly drinking it. Christie, like a dedicated fan, wiped the singer’s face with her hands, while Madonna mumbled, “Winter is coming!” After a round of laughter, our spirited Brienne came back, “Tonight you’re so great, winter isn’t the only thing that’s coming.” Everyone was left in splits including Madame X, who exclaimed, “I like it!”
Gwendoline was called up on stage by Madonna back in 2016 during a concert in Sydney, and the Game of Thrones actress has previously talked about her stan (obsessive fan) behavior towards the hit American singer.
