When House of The Dragon premiered on the HBO Max app, millions of fans registered and logged in to watch the highly anticipated prequel. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that certain Amazon devices couldn’t keep up with the sudden rise in the number of viewers. HBO Max acknowledged the issue and released an official statement:

“House of the Dragon is being successfully viewed by millions of HBO Max subscribers this evening. We’re aware of a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices that are having issues and are in the process of resolving for those impacted users.”

Here’s how some of the fans reacted to the crash report:

HBO Max support advised users: “To help with the crashing issues you’re experiencing, please go to any other show/movie on HBO Max, turn off subtitles/captions, and then try streaming House of the Dragon again.” This reportedly only worked for some viewers.
