Winter is coming â this spring.
HBO announced Sunday night that the last season of their hit swords-and-dragons drama âGame of Thronesâ will make its premiere on Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m.
The statement came along with a trailer showing members of the Stark clan â Arya, Sansa and the Jon Snow â in the family crypt at Winterfell being spoken to by the voices of their late ancestors and facing an unseen threat coming from a cloud of frost.
The eighth, and last, season will contain six episodes and is expected to wrap up the Emmy-winning showâs many plot lines, including an invasion of zombie-like White Walkers from the north.
