Game of Thrones has always been about who ends up on the Iron Throne, and in the series finale โ Season 8 episode 6, โThe Iron Throneโ, we got to see the Iron Throne melted down by Dragon fire.
However, we did get a new ruler for Westeros, one who was selected by all the important lords and ladies of Westeros โ Bran Stark. This came out of nowhere for most fans of the show, who were expecting Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen to end up on the throne. The fans took to Twitter with a variety of reactions:
