This article has spoilers from Game of Thrones and Hobbs & Shaw. The Fast & Furious franchise’s first spin-off released this weekend. It features a post-credits scene with Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds starring in it.

It has been a fun weekend for moviegoers as Hobbs & Shaw released last Friday. The movie stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the lead. They reprise their Fast & Furious roles for the franchise’s first spin-off. Hobbs & Shaw also stars Idris Elba as the villain. While the reviews have been mixed, fans cannot help but walk out laughing courtesy a cameo by Ryan Reynolds. Before we proceed, this article has spoilers from Hobbs & Shaw and Game of Thrones. So, we’d suggest you proceed accordingly.

The actor, renowned for his role as the Deadpool, played Hobbs’ “best friend” in the post-credits scene of the movie. While his cameo leads to speculations of the actor’s addition in the Hobbs & Shaw sequel, Reynolds caused an uproar on social media after the makers dropped a huge Game of Thrones spoiler without warning. The post-credits scene unfolds like this:

Reynolds, who essays the role of CIA agent Locke, calls Hobbs to inform his “best friend” about a new virus, which is expected to be tackled in the sequel. Out of nowhere, Reynolds’s character begins ranting about Game of Thrones. The actor switches gears to Deadpool character and ends up revealing the ending of the show. He says, “Jon Snow had sex with his aunt and then he killed her.” Well, we feel your rant, Reynolds. Ever since the final few GoT episodes dropped, avid Game of Thrones fans expressed their disappointment over the treatment of characters on the show. A petition over remaking the finale also made the headlines. But the channel has shot down the possibility of a remake.

At the TCA Summer Press Tour event, HBO’s programming chief, Casey Bloys was asked about the petition signed by GOT fans. “There are very, very few downsides to having a hugely popular show, but one I can think of is when you try to end it, many people have big opinions on how it should end. The petition shows a lot of enthusiasm and passion for the show, but it wasn’t something that we seriously considered,” Casey stated.
