  1. How is she a shitty ruler when she actually freed slaves? Lol What the hell has Tyrion done lol? He had one trick which he actually stole from Cersei and that was the wildfire, had it not been for that, Stannis would've killed all of them. He couldn't control Joffrey nut ass lol. Don't get me started on last season, and I love Tyrion btw, but if we're talking about things being done, I would say freeing slaves is way more important than anything Tyrion did lol. Imo of course.

  2. She gave the same speech again because these are new dothraki. They don't know about what she has been through, her motives, or khal drogos promise.
Dario looks worried because I think he feels he will lose her when she goes to westeros.
For the record, she has always been boring and a brat. She knows she doesnt know shit, she just wants revenge. I can't respect her and she is not a very good actress. She is just as bad as the mad king in my eyes.

  3. Damn, this video hurt my soul. Yes, everyone's entitled to her/his own opinion but bashing a character this way just doesn't feel right. I mean a good character, one that has been put through so much, that suffered to get where she is at this point in the show, that managed to turn her own fate around by being a good leader (or have we forgotten that she saved multiple lives while being Drogo's wife and, afterwards, went saving many more and rallying troops behind her only by being fair and, yes, the dragons might have helped to a certain degree, I'm not that biased either).
Daenerys is NOT perfect, sure. She has made mistakes…and suffered the consequences of it. Still, she IS a born leader. I never liked Daario much and I believe he had a bad influence on her. She had a good heart and a thirst for justice but she needs good councellors like any king or queen would.
Yes, Jon is the moral compass of this show. From the outside it almost seems like he's perfect, incapable of being unfair and always making the best decisions. Yet he too did some things that he regretted. As much as I hated Olly for instance, we have to see that he was only a kid. A kid who saw his entire family being slaughtered by wildlings…how betrayed he must have felt when Jon let the ones who shattered his whole world cross the wall. And yet he was killed by Jon. There, I said it. Jon is not perfect (and mind you, he's my all time favorite). Neither is Dany. She seems arrogant in her speeches? So be it, she has a right to. She does want to break the weel and she's fighting to get there. She is strong, she's badass ON HER OWN (not just because she has three dragons and can't be burnt), she makes alliances, she offers second chances to people she believes deserve it, she is trully loved by her people for a reason and that reason comes from within, not from the size of Drogon's wings.
I'm just slightly tired of seeing people yelling "bad writting" or "plot armour" or "fan service" everytime they dislike something on the show and overly criticizing the show over the books. They are different things, accept it. Nevertheless, George R.R. Martin has a veto power over anything he doesn't agree in the show too. Therefore we must keep in mind that he's ok with the directions the show is taking or he would have stamped his feet.

  4. We can all agree to disagree. I still love yall and this channel, but Dany is amazing. Her character growth has been great. Shes gone from a young girl being groped and abused by her brother to a fucking dragon queen out to conquer the world. I can see where you're coming from thinking that her plot line is a little beating the dead horse, but freeing a whole population of slaves LITERALLY overnight and trying to keep the peace is really hard and personally I think Dany did a pretty good job given the circumstances. In Kings Landing the king has a whole castle of people at his aid and basically to do the thinking for him. For a lot of the time all Dany had was herself and 3 other people. She had to make a lot of really tough decisions basically on her own. Yeah she made some mistakes but again, she went from being nothing to being a queen in a really short amount of time.
Another thing is a lot of people think Dany is cruel which just isnt true. Dany doesnt cause harm for the sake of doing it. Everything she does has a purpose. Yeah maybe shes a little "fire and blood" but she had a lot to prove to EVERYONE. People would literally laugh in her face bc she is a young woman claiming to have dragons and planning to take over Westeros. She had to be a little harsh to get people to take her seriously. Personally I think Dany would be a great ruler. Shes compassionate but stern. People can fear her, respect her, and love her all at the same time.

  5. Shitty ruler = a perfect phrase to spark a discussion, good job 🙂
Just to add my two cents, I don't think we have seen or heard of any non-shitty ruler in GoT (in the show at least). The Mad King? Robert Baratheon, who actually didn't really do any "ruling" most of the time, only spending? Joffrey? Tommen, who either did nothing or was just a puppet? Cersei, who ruled herself into walking naked through the city with literal shit being thrown on her body? Daenerys is sort of evolving and learning, unlike most of the other rulers, I think. But yes, quite a struggle, to say the least.

  6. So, let me get this straight – Dany, is going mad… Sansa, is being silly and Arya, is a stonecold killer…. The men are funny, brave, smart strong and bad ass… I truly see a problem here… All 3 of those women have suffer something horrific on their journey/story lines survived and are still demoted? That's some 20-21 c. sadness…

  7. So I'm curious, now that everyone is caught up with the show, do you guys have widely different opinions on things? I would love to see some debates between the group 🙂

  8. you guys are so wrong about danny.. shes's been through alot of shit! shes been sold and raped and kidnapped and abused etc.– she has gone from nothing to having an entire loyal army at her side. She's had incredible development and in the end it pays off. especially in season 7.

  9. I just agree with Daenerys, I actually liked her in the early seasons, but now when she has scenes I’m just not bothered about watching it. And I do think Emilia Clarke is a good actress but I just don’t think she’s good as Daenerys or the role suits her at all. This is just my opinion though 🙂

  10. I can understand criticism about dany in this season. They just kill Jon Snow, Tyrion killed his father. Other important character make a such a big movies but when time comes dany they just doing same things. I can understand they must show that she is a conquer also. But not like this. In the book her goal is always the same but the things that motivate are constantly changing and most interesting about her she have always been important smart characters around. Varys, Jorah, Barristan, Tyrion. They not good at using this character. Using about her scenes, her movies, her actions. But whatever did in this season, Daenerys always my favorite character. I agree with the criticism about her in this season but that's not make her a bad character or a not interesting not important. They showed her as Conquering Dany this season, but like I say Dany was the one who saved it and make it better. About being a ruler you have to be saver and you have to be conquer also. But they showed it very boring, weakly writing. Hannah will understand us watching the seventh season. When her favorite character written weakly.

  11. Disappointed with all the unreasonable Daenerys hate in this channel. Didn't expect this. None of the criticism for her here is warranted. She is definitely NOT a "shitty ruler". Where is this coming from? Quite annoying.

  12. It's simple. The biggest difference between Jon and Dany, is Jon never asks someone to do something he wouldn't do himself. Dany seeks power, for powers sake. Jon by contrast, has been voted into every position of leadership he's ever found himself in. iIt has nothing to do with being the "rightful heir," or "birth rights", because… for one, he doesn't have any birthright, but more importantly he has no desire to rule. The person who has the least desire for power, is the least likely to be corrupted. I will take the person who has no desire to rule, but reluctantly assumes the mantle of leadership by the will of the people, over any person who believes they are entitled to rule by birth. 10 times outta 10.

Plus, I can't stomach the hypocrisy of Dany crucifying slavers without a trial, then executing Mossador for doing the same thing in s5.

  13. Yes, the speech was rather gratuitous, and the fault is entirely on the writers. Imagine having to mount a CGI green screen dragon while remembering some random gibberish lines and trying to sound inspirational and badass simultaneously. It's not easy, so don't blame the actress. I do agree that her storyline has gotten rather dull at this point and we just want her to move on, but give her some credit where credit is due.

  14. 4:10 lots of people hated that speech, you're not alone. The point I try to remember is that the writers of the show and the showrunners are not perfect, and while GOT is great in general, there are going to be times in a show of this length and complexity when the creative people behind it take it in directions we'd rather not see it go. It's just inevitable, because we, the viewers, are not writing it– which is probably good thing, overall. Hopefully it never gets to the point where the writing gets so lame, or offensive, or illogical that we're not willing to continue following the series to its end.

  15. This was my favorite react YouTube channel, now it seems more like a anti-Daenerys club. And that makes no sense if you actually understand the story you are being told. She’s no perfect, she’s what the world has made her. She’s grey, just like Tyrion and others. But if you can’t see that..

  16. Funny how you don't see Daenerys development and say all this about her and you're okay with Jon but have problems with Dany for doing similar things ? I love both and seeing someone criticize Dany over something she didn't do with bad intentions kind of pisses me off.

  17. I think Dany’s story is about being naive and becoming wise. She’s a lot like Viscerys was in the way that she views herself/her family. The only difference is that she has a good heart and despises human suffering. She struggles with her identity and becoming a wise ruler. It’s metaphorically represented in her relationship with her dragons and also with her close friends. When she loses Ser Barristan and when she banishes Jorah, she has one of her most important inner conflicts. She started looking like the Mad Queen at times. All the while her dragons don’t trust her because she lacks control of herself. Her whole story begs a lot of important questions about power, governance, identity, motivation, morality, etc. At least I think so. Cheers.

  18. Hey, don't bother putting a description saying "Everyone's opinions are valid…and we love to hear them"  then ignore the constructive criticisms against your biased opinions and just assume that they're just hateful comments.

  19. It's not that the writers were "trying" to do "something like" Khal Drogo's speech. It is the exact same speech, she only left out the part about raping women and enslaving children. So it's quite funny when people say Dany's speech was bad while having 0 issue when it was Drogo who said it. There was nothing wrong with Emilia's delivery. People who have an issue with her speech just don't like her character much and are influenced by that.

  20. Sorry to all the comments, but they were spot on with Dany. Dany has consistently failed and failed and failed, only to be saved by her dragons or her advisors. Yet, she comes across extremely arrogant and entitled, not seeing her own failures or shortcomings. Because it's been drilled into head since birth that everything is owed her without her earning it.

  21. Might be Daario was concerned because he might have deduced in advance that he will not be going to Westros with her.
I love Dany. The word we are looking for is "one dimensional". Her character was no more interesting after her dragons became answer to everything. But I love her nonetheless.

  22. I agree with everything you guys said. But it's not Dany's fault and it's not the writers fault. This is George RR Martin's fault for being too great of a writer!! He stopped helping with the writing of the show at season 5, and that's exactly where it begins its descend from "Epic High Fantasy" to "Grama's Soap Opera" by season seven. It's just impossible to continue with George's greatness without him.. but we're here.. loyal.
