Game of Thrones is the most awarded show in television history. The show set a record for winning the highest number of Primetime Emmy Awards for a series in a single year in 2015, winning 12 out of 24 nominations. To date, no other show has come close to that record. The hopes are high with the upcoming Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon, with the cast and the crew, and the show itself being nominated and winning various accolades. No one even doubted for once that the show would be amongst the top contenders at this year’s Golden Globe awards.

After winning the esteemed Golden Globe award for the Best Drama Series yesterday, House of The Dragon earned another nomination, this time at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2023. The Game of Thrones prequel has been nominated in the Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series category, along with The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Andor, The Boys, and Stranger Things.

Quite surprisingly, House of The Dragon did not earn a place in any other category. Instead, The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once dominated the SAG Awards nominations with 5 nods each.

Do you think the SAG 2023 nominations are justified? Talk to us in the comments below!
