Although the showrunners are notorious for taking way too long for the production of each season, they have been quite detailed. The sets, cast, story and costumes have been on point. Fans are already excited with the release of season 2 of House of the Dragon., and it seems Season 3 is already being written.

The interview noted:

“Condal confirms they are deep into writing a third season in the event that HBO decides they want it. They have to plan that far in advance, he explains, otherwise, it would be impossible to maintain a schedule of one new House of the Dragon season every other year. Now that he’s deep into the adaptation, the show’s endgame comes more and more into focus.”

HBO is yet to order a Season 3 officially, but it appears the showrunners have a headstart on the progress.

HBO decides to reduce House of the Dragon Season 2 to 8 episodes

House of the Dragon is said to have only 4 seasons. After the immense success of the first season, the drama series has returned for it’s second season. The first season ends with Aemond and his dragon Vhagar killing Lucerys and his dragon Arrax. It left fans on a cliff-hanger making season 2 even more exciting.

Fans are worried that with the number of episodes reduced to 8, they might have a repeat of the final season of Game of Thrones which left fans disappointed due to the lack of detail among other factors. It turns out the decision might have been made by HBO, according to series writer Sara Hess.

“Hess declines to comment on the reduced season 2 order from 10 episodes to eight, but notes, “It wasn’t really our choice.””
