The sixth episode of Season 1 offered House of the Dragon viewers a great look at the future Targaryen generation. Conversely, the only Targaryen prince we haven’t yet met is Daeron Targaryen. He is the youngest son of King Viserys and Queen Alicent. In the novel Fire & Blood, Daeron is acknowledged as the most compassionate of his siblings. He may appear in Season 2.

House of the Dragon showrunner Ryan Condal teases Daeron Targaryen

Daeron Targaryen is one of the most awaited characters from Fire & Blood yet to appear on the TV screen. On being asked if Daeron was there in House of the Dragon,  Ryan Condal didn’t reveal if he was there in Season 2, but he told EW, “That remains to be seen. We will see. Daeron is a fixture and a character in the show. Do not fret, anybody. All in due time.”

House of the Dragon Season 2 also provides a Hightower POV

The showrunner also went on to discuss how the series also covered perspectives of the Hightowers, “We had plenty of POVs to dig into on in the interconnected Targaryen universe, but what about the Hightowers? How do they fit into all this?

We thought it was very interesting to bring forward this character who was maybe mentioned in the first season, but not really seen or experienced in any way; how that would impact Alicent and Otto; and what he would have to say coming in from the outside, not having been raised at court in King’s Landing.”
