Game Of Thrones is without a doubt one of the most popular shows in TV history. The show was iconic for many reasons, but one element that made Game of Thrones really stand out was the fact that no main character was safe from death. Okay, maybe excluding season eight.
In eight seasons, we saw many fan favourite characters die. No one, pun intended, would blame you if you initially thought that Ned Stark would end up on the Iron Throne, and when the Warden of the North surprisingly died, surely his son Robb would be the one to avenge his father. Well, we all know how that ended, don’t we?
Across many hours of fantastic TV, we saw many characters bite the dust. In a Song of Ice and Fire, nobody was safe from the Grim Reaper. Household names like Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Joffrey Baratheon, and many more were killed on screen. Some of those deaths were hard for us to watch, while others were rather satisfying.
