Game of Thrones season 8 is very controversial among fans. Yet how do cast members like Alfie Allen feel about it? There are definitely a variety of reactions. Some feel that their character’s fate comes out of nowhere, while others defend the show and its writers.

Now that both fans and actors have had the time to adjust to the ending of the show, how do they both feel? With the fans, at least, it depends on who you ask. Some fans have fully moved on while others are still upset at what they feel is an unearned ending. The actors might have similar reactions to the fans, with some of them fully moved on and others still upset at how their characters ended up.

But how does Alfie Allen, our Theon Greyjoy, feel? Find out, ahead.

How do the fans feel and why?

Many fans feel that the last season of Game of Thrones is rushed, badly written, and unsatisfying. Especially fans of characters like Daenerys Targaryen and Jaime Lannister. Even some Cersei Lannister fans feel that her ending could have been better. These fans are not only upset about the fact that their favorite characters died, but in the case of Daenerys and Jaime fans, the character was completely ruined for them before being killed off.

We won’t spend too much time on the fan reactions as we’ve already gone into how and why the show let fans down. Yet it’s important to be aware of these reactions to understand the responses that fans might have to the actors’ reactions, including Alfie Allen’s. Game of Thrones is a show that is definitely open to discussion, and perhaps some fans wouldn’t have it any other way.

There are fans that are happy, especially fans of the Stark family, which is Sansa, Arya, and Bran. Yet others, even those who like the Starks, feel that their endings are all unearned and happen too quickly.

When asked by a reporter from Entertainment Tonight how he feels about the ending, he said “I’m over it.” Short, to the point. That’s definitely a valid answer.

This is the way Alfie Allen feels, perhaps others feel the same way. Read on to find out. Everyone’s reaction is slightly different.

What are fan reactions to Allen’s response?

Based on Twitter, it’s a mixed bag. One fan tweets “me,” signaling that they agree with Allen’s reaction, but also goes on to say that “if anyone asks [the fan] about the finale, [they] feel a type of way and want to cry but also go on a huge rant.” Many fans can probably relate to that fan, in that you think you’re over Game of Thrones but then you remember something about it that upsets you.

Another fan’s response is slightly different. They say that “[they] wish [they] could say the same.” Many fans can also probably relate to this fan, having the feeling of wanting to move on but not quite being able to.

So in the end, nobody seems too happy with the situation. Except perhaps Alfie Allen, who has somehow managed to move on. Maybe fans can take comfort in that and realize that it is possible to be over Game of Thrones, even if you’re invested in it.
