how to negotiate better? Jon snow and Daenerys meeting in game of thrones

Learn how to negotiate from the mistakes of jon and Danny which almost set them up for failure.
Jon visits Danny to ask her to help him fight the night king.The negotiation that takes place between the two is worth learning from. Keep in mind that Danny has her own plans in trying to take over the iron throne from cersei. Both Jon snow and Danny lack the proper negotiation skills and would have failed if it wasn’t for tyrion “the imp” Lannister.
The meeting of Jon snow and Danny was one of the most significant ones on the show, and there is a lot to be learned from it.
Jon snow went to Danny to ask her for something without asking around or doing any research about her, what kind of person is she?will she be willing to give him more or less of what He asks ?but jons mistake has always been assuming that other people hold the same pressing concerns about the Night king which got him killed the first time as lord commander, and would have gotten jon snow killed again had Danny (Daenerys) been a ruthless ruler like Stanis Baratheon or a psycho like Joffrey. Now Danny on the other hand did do her research.
So remember whenever you go to a company for an interview then do your research so that you know how to negotiate better.figure out what the company expects from their staff. how was it established? and all the other details a that I don’t need to bore you with.
Now Danny (Daenerys targaryen)is your typical boss here. putting herself in an intimidating room on elevated ground for monarchs,in modern day society behind a big desk in a big office room, to set the tone that she’s is the one in power and that Jon snow is just some other lord even though they know that he is king in the north.(all so that daenerys targaryen can win the negotiation process)yet they explicitly fail to address him with his proper title!!! notice how (Danny daenerys targaryen)doesn’t speak much at all (to Jon snow or Aegon targaryen) at first letting her advisers introduce all her titles instead, something all rulers, bosses HR managers and leaders do, because when others talk about your achievements, it gives a far better impression than if you would talk about your achievements yourself.
Don’t appear overwhelmed by other people’s seemingly higher status, learn how to control your emotions as not to give the other person more power over you. And remember never brag about yourself always make sure that when you speak of your virtues or success, it was the other person who insisted that you mention them , or that someone else tells him. And when you do mention your achievements yourself always seem as though you are not impressed by your own “success”
Another point which has helped Danny (daenerys targaryen)to think that she will be successful in making jon snow accept her demands is that he was the one to go to her, because the one who ends up going to the other person has already accepted a sad reality, that he or she is less superior(inferior) than the other and so giving them less of a commanding status. Ever wondered why you are the one who is nervous when you go for a job interview and not the boss or the HR even though both of you want one another, without you he can’t make money and without your boss you can’t get money yet you are the one who is stressed out, now this will be true given you are an above average employee, if you are below average however, then no one will need you anyway because you can’t make them money as an employee and in turn they can’t pay you money, makes sense?
You are both in power just as long as you bring something valuable to the table
Don’t think of yourself as a slave but rather a Knight. however don’t think yourself a king because you will never be so long as you are going to job interviews, if you do then the real king will have you exiled in this case not hiring you.Not Knowing exactly what they wanted Danny(daenerys targaryen) and Jon snow committed a fatal mistake.
Danny (daenerys targaryen)was so fixated on wanting Jon to bend the knee and Jon was so fixated in bringing her armies and dragons to the north to fight the night king while cersei is plotting against her.Seeing that Jon snow (Aegon targaryen) wasn’t to the least bit willing to bend the knee, she should have brought an alternative demand to the table, and to know what else to bring to the table you need to know what it is that you truly want. in this scenario it was jons support for her claim that she wanted, so she could have asked for an alliance which Jon would have been more than happy to do, and as Tyrion Lannister suggested, Jon snow could have asked to be allowed to mine the dragon glass.
