This is how Jon will find out, not how "major players in Westeros" find out. Jon will find out through Bran either directly or indirectly. That is only a matter of when, not if.

It looks more likely that his name is Aegon rather than Jehaerys.

If the theory which says Ned is alive and will come back is true then I believe that he will be the one telling Jon the truth about his parents coz when Jon was heading to the wall and Ned and Jon met for the last time and Ned says you may not have my name but you have my blood, Jon asks is my mother alive? Does she know where I am going? Does she cares? Ned says (after a brief pause) "Next time we see each other, we'll talk about your mother, I Promise".
"If" Ned is coming back then I think Ned telling Jon about his parents would be one best way of Jon's knowing about his parents, by very far.

I would love it if it were Aemon, named after Maester Aemon at Castle Black since those two were close and there were some hints he knew who Jon really was. Also, I want Gilly to be the one to discover it at the Citadel. There is a promo photo of her reading something. She could see Lyanna Stark's name, and know that's Jon Snow's "family" name, and it could be information about R+L=J like a recorded marriage and/or info about Lyanna dying during childbirth.

Bran probably going to tell him, face to face or via visions. We know bloodriven(that old guy tutors bran, 3 eyed raven) did warn mad king about white walkers via visions(and that drived mad king even more mad lol) so bran can do the same but I hope it does not turn Jon to mad 😛

Yes, the Crannogmen haven't taken a large part yet, though they did fight the Ironborn at Moat Cailin. I think Howland Reed and Jon will meet, and probably when Jon travels south to Dragonstone. We'll be getting a lot of the background history, I hope, through Bran flashbacks.
