If I were kit Harington I would have took an episodes pay cut which is well over 1.5m just so he could have ghost in battle of the bastards or season 7. It's a small sacrifice to make the show even better

yes, ghost will appear in S8 only to be killed off and since dire wolves are metaphorical symbolism for the starks like summer, grey wind and lady, Jon's discovery of his lineage will be the end of ghost! hope the show runners will have change of heart and they will let ghost survive till the end and be reunited with Nymeria!

The direwolves in GOT are not made via CGI. They are real wolves, shot in a green screen and then aumented with special effects and placed on scene with the actors. This tecnique is more realistic, but, I guess, also more expensive.
If you want to compare, take a look at the werewolves fron twilight. Those are made by CGI

Also, the albino wolf that played Ghost, and was owned by GRRM, had died.

I wish people would stop saying they wish Ghost was involved in this battle or that battle. It would be extremely easy for him to be killed in a battle so I'm glad he hasn't been involved.
