Almost every actor from the cast of Game of Thrones has commented on what they felt about the ending of the show. Most of them have defended the final season and the end it brought forth; while few have chosen a mild stance of criticism. While some actors like Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) have sided with the fans, and said they understood why the fans were so furious, others like Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) felt that the finale was justified.
In a recent interview with the Independent, Glen opened up about how he felt about the show’s ending. He said, “Where it landed, in the end, was not what a lot of what people wanted, but Game of Thrones had done that from the beginning, and it had always been exciting. No one wanted Ned Stark to get beheaded in the first season – ‘no, that is really wrong, that couldn’t happen!’ – but he did. And so throughout the series, those sorts of unexpected things happened.”
He continued, “I wouldn’t have done anything differently. Being inside it, I really could understand and supported the decisions that were made by the writers and where they took the story. But Game of Thrones is like my child, so maybe it’s no surprise for me to say that!”
