Months remain until the first episode of the Final Season of Game of Thrones airs. Although in a past few weeks we’ve had our first official footage from HBO and a spoiler about Tyrion Lannister’s fate, we still crave for more and more. In this article, we’ll talk about Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont) who spoke to Express UK about the final season.
Firstly, upon being asked who, according to him will sit on the Iron Throne, the actor replied, “Daenerys”. This was much too obvious for us to hear. Of course, we know how much Ser Jorah is committed to his ‘Khaleesi’ and has been her most loyal confidant since the first season.
Next, Iain went to say that the next season of Game of Thrones will bring in some “good stuff” for Daenerys and him. But, he also teased that there might be a major twist coming in the final season by saying, “You may be surprised by the obvious though.”
What does his quote mean for the Dragon Queen and the plot of Game of Thrones as a whole? Lastly, he talked about what he thinks about the Mother of Dragons in real life. Talking about Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), he said:
“Emilia really is the heart of the company, in more ways than one…She will be the one to organize birthdays for everyone…She really is a kind heart.”
The last we saw of Ser Jorah was in the episode ‘The Dragon and The Wolf’ on Daenerys’ small council meeting, discussing her expedition to Winterfell. He looked a bit grim over Dany’s decision to sail with Jon Snow. And, we obviously know the reason for his grim look, don’t we?
